About
Started my career as a beauty/lifestyle editor in Asia and have since transitioned over to digital marketing. I’ve worked in the digital space for national and international clients for over 10 years. I love talking about user journeys, going beyond vanity metrics, and how every digital campaign needs to be rooted in strong content.
What's the most important lesson you've learned about marketing during your career?
Don't be afraid to experiment and try new tactics and campaign execution. That's how you learn what works and what doesn't work. Failure is okay as long as you learn from it and apply insights to your next campaign.
What do you think is the most important skill for a marketer to have, and why?
Communication skills. Marketing is all about communication. If you can't communicate internally with your team to build the campaign and externally to your users/customers, then what's the point?
What's the most unusual food you've ever tried?
Fried scorpion in Thailand! Tastes like how you'd imagine a bug to taste like.
What's the most adventurous thing you've ever done?
Enrolled in a 3-day surf camp in Bali as a beginner surfer and successfully surfed a 5-ft wave. I knew nothing about surfing and didn't die. Yay!
If you could have any job other than the one you have now, what would it be?
Run a surf-shop and beachside bar in a beautiful beach somewhere and live my best island life.
