What is your role at Market Crafters?
I’m the Chief Operations & Digital Officer who spends too much time scrolling through social media and thinking about social advertising ROI, how to foster better social conversations, and why I can’t stop watching food videos on my Facebook feed.
What inspires you?
People’s stories. I like hearing about where people have been, where they’re headed, and all their dreams and wishes for themselves.
Where is your favorite place to travel?
Anywhere in Southeast Asia. Islands, amazing food, and warm sunny weather.
If you had one extra hour in the day, what would you do with it?
Sleep. I don’t sleep enough.
What is your favorite advertisement of all time?
This goes back to primary school. It’s an advertisement for a new candy in Singapore: Nano Nano. It’s sweet, sour, and salty. The flavor profile never really appealed to me (and it still doesn’t!), but I remember always craving it when their ad comes on. It’s also been over 25+ years since that ad launched and I still have their jingle stuck in my head.
What’s the best gift that anyone’s ever given to you?
My engagement ring! It’s my husband’s great-grandmother’s ring and dates back over a hundred years. I love stories and family history so aside from getting proposed to, it was really fascinating to learn more about my husband’s family.
After he proposed, he showed me a photo of the jewelry store where the ring was made back in the day and it’s wild to think that over three generations ago in Helena, Montana, his great-grandmother was walking around with the ring and married to the love of her life. Fast forward to now and the ring made it all the way to Boracay, Philippines where we got engaged!
