About
I started my career as a Management Trainee rotating across marketing, events, operations, HR, leasing, and finance departments in hospitality, hotel, F&B, cigar manufacturing, real estate, and health industries. Upon completion of the Management Trainee program, I decided to work in marketing for a private membership club. During the height of the pandemic, I dabbled in e-commerce world for two years. I worked with global brands such as KitchenAid, Instant Pot, Tempur, Levoit, Philips Personal Care, and more until I realized that my heart was really with marketing and it was time to go back. It’s always been a goal of mine to work with an agency, so I killed two birds with one stone with Market Crafters!
What's the most important quality for success in the marketing industry?
Innovation. Marketing is ever-changing and even faster in some industries. A marketer should be able to pivot their brand to the right direction with all the new trends, technology, and shifts in customer behavior.
What inspired you to pursue a career in marketing?
In the Philippines, we decide what to major in university 2 years before graduating high school. I didn't know what I wanted to do so I decided to go for a business course "to be safe." I read about marketing and sounded so fun and it fitted my personality being an outgoing and extroverted people person so I pursued it and fell in love with it since I was a university student!
What's your favorite type of cuisine?
Chinese! I love crispy noodles, dumplings, sweet & sour pork, lemon chicken, fried rice... now I'm hungry!
What's your favorite movie quote of all time?
"Don't ask questions you don't want to know the answer to." from Men in Black III. It's a reminder not to ask questions when you're not prepared to hear all the possible answers and not just the one you favor. This has really helped me manage my expectations and prepare for myself for the worst possible outcomes.
What's your favorite thing about working at Market Crafters?
I love the MC culture. The communication and respect for each other’s time in the agency allows everyone to enjoy an amazing and recharging work-life balance. Everyone vibes and works amazingly with each other!
